This November, maestro Josep Pons has taken charge of the two most consolidated orchestras in Spain. On the one hand, of the National Orchestra of Spain, with whom he has directed Pater Noster, Ave Maria and Oedipus Rex by Stravinsky and the Litanies à la Vierge Noire by Poulenc, with Stéphanie d'Oustrac, mezzo-soprano, Nikolai Schukoff, tenor, Francisco Vas, tenor, José Antonio López, baritone, Alexander Vinagrodov, bass, Carlos Hipólito, narrator.

With the OBC (Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya), on the other hand, he has directed the Slavic Dances no. 1 and 2, op. 72, by Dvorák, the Hungarian Dances no. 1 and 3, by Brahms, and Barbazul Castle, op. 11, by Bartók, in both cases, with magnificent acclaim from the public and critics.
